For Maths this week we were once again looking at measurement and estimations for some measurements and what they would be closer to based on what you think it would be and ordering some measurements from 4 largest to 1 smallest or 4 longest to 1 shortest and once again estimating how long or heavy something is and then we kind of played a game where we would get a score for the questions correct and there were 6 levels based on 6 types of scale.

Year 7 Step Up Personal Experience
From my perspective year 7 step up wasn't really a step up to me it felt like we were just doing different activities. the activities I did were stacking cups, playing a game where you had to think of a song that has a word or number specifically, and you can't do one someone has already done, another was finding out the murder of someone named Mr grim, as well as figuring out 40 puzzles which were worth 20 points, so 800 points you were able to obtain for completing them all, we also did some art with pencils and perm-markers and colouring pencils and drew something and wrote a word in it and every line had to touch the drawing and the word was about leadership and we watched a movie as well as had shared lunch and that was pretty much it.
Ideas about Year 7/8 programmes
Task description: For our 3rd blog post of the day we made a google draw, slides or docs and did what we wanted to Keep, Stop or add to Year 7 Step up or Year 8 Leadership camp.

What I did on the Weekend (27-28th of June)
On Friday I wasn’t at school to celebrate matariki because I had a cold, all I did was sleep till quarter past 10 in the morning got dressed, tidied my bed, brushed my teeth and hair, had breakfast then played on my playstation and ate some marshmallows during the day on saturday and for dinner had a soup with dumplings that were much more disgusting than the last time I had them or mexican nachos which were way better I can’t remember then stayed up till 11.50 watching youtube.
Then on sunday I slept in again and did the same thing as on saturday, except I didn’t have marshmallows and I had spaghetti on toast for brunch 4 slices, for dinner I had mince on toast from leftover nachos, went to sleep at 9:15 because I lost track of time when watching a movie. then woke up at 7 today on monday and got ready and went to school and now up to when I am writing this, that is what I did on my weekends.

Easter Sunday Review
Today we started our day with a easter egg hunt in our yard (with my cousins) but with our marbles and the 1st person to find someone else's marble with their map won then we did one with easter eggs from my mum but I didn't find any :(. But I did find the secret easter bunny hiding behind the printer which had a clue to it. 'You can only find me from outside' because the printer is right by the window but i found it from the inside then we had an easter egg each then played outside and then inside.

Serious Subtraction
Serious Subtraction
This is my maths work for the week.
Mr Burt has $1000 in the maths budget at the start of the year.
He starts by purchasing 650 math books, at $0.30 each. His total spend is: 195, 650x3=1950/3=195
How much does he have left? 805
Next he spends $167.70 on rulers and protractors
800-162.70=642.30
How much is left now?
642.30
Then he purchases 5 text books, which cost $26.50 each. The 5 textbooks cost:
125+7.50=132.50 642.30-132.50=509.80
How much does he have left?
509.80
Finally he spends $6.70 on stickers.
503.10
How much does he have left?
503.10
What is the best strategy for these problems?
4 - 0.768 =4-0.700=3.300-0.60=3.260-0.8= 3.254
15 - 5.67 =15-5.6=9.4-.07=9.33
2.50 - 1.75 =0.75
5 - 0.654 =4.456

A job for me :)
A job for me.
Hello. Have you wondered what job you want in the future? Well here’s one of the one’s that i’ve been thinking of since pre-school. Construction. I’ve been interested in construction since pre-school, from watching Bob The Builder to trying to build a fire truck in real life at pre-school, I did with my best friend but it didn't work out that well when I encountered gravity but when I grow older I might want to build houses. I could change my mind I might but maybe I could change to an easier job like being a cashier at mcdonald's, subway subway might be nice I don't know who knows maybe you could work at mcdonald’s or subway or do construction. Until you hear from me again, goodbye.
